The file type with the file name extension .pmd mainly stands for Adobe PageMaker Document (.pmd). This refers to Adobe PageMaker, a traditional commercial desktop publishing (DTP) product from Adobe Systems that was discontinued in 2004 to give way to Adobe InDesign. Adobe PageMaker doc uses Adobe's proprietary file format to save as .pmd files, so .pmd files are DTP projects created and saved in Adobe PageMaker. It is a container in which plain text is interspersed with binary structures and object data. In addition to PageMaker itself, in the Adobe InDesign CS series, legacy Adobe PageMaker files (.pmd) are somewhat restricted when opened, while in the Adobe InDesign CC support for the PMD format has been dropped.
GLB is a binary file format representation of 3D models saved in GL Transfer Format (glTF). Information about 3D models such as node hierarchy, cameras, materials, animations, and meshes in binary format. This binary format stores glTF assets (JSON, .bin, and images) in binary blobs. It also avoids the problem of increased file size that occurs in the case of glTF. The GLB file format brings compact file size, fast loading, full 3D scene representation, and extensibility for further development. The format uses model/gltf-binary as the MIME type.
